Right on par with the rest of the series. Good build up, and interesting start to the mystery. It felt a little rushed near the end, but still quite a fun read!

Chocolate revolution on the tongue, something special for the Fourth of July. Ryan has come to ask Heather for help, there has been a murder, and the mayor wants it handle delicately. She had just seen Cherry Jubilee, that morning, now dead, with a velvet rope. Something is odd when the dog has a normal name Dave and the murder victim is more like a donut , that part threw you off the story. Otherwise a good cozy mystery.
